Nidhi left Deuba's residence after the disagreement with Deuba. Nidhi recently been batting for Silwal even after that. Deuba had raised the issue even in unofficial meeting of the party's office-bearers and senior leaders held on February 1. Deuba said Nidhi should follow the party president's directive on the matter of IGP appointment. Deuba met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter's residence in Baluwatar and requested to not take decision if minister Nidhi were to bring an offer about IGP appointment after learning that the cabinet meeting last Thursday could appoint IGP.
