For many folks young people in Qatar and around the world, school breaks are the power to spend time from the the classroom and enjoyable with family and colleagues.

But two locally-based high school students have turned that idea on its head, deciding instead to spend their winter holiday with complete strangers inside the school in Nepal.

Inspired with talk given an a few months ago in Doha inside addition to an UN aid worker, Sirius Ganesh and Sascha Zierbock organized casual school supply donation drive for students in Katmandu.The 16-year-olds, who hail from India and Germany respectively, then headed to Nepal themselves to offer collection after coordinating the particular UN worker, Peter Dalglish.

Dalglish helps create the non-profit Himalayan Voluntourism which works to boost and support schools and community and learning centers in mistakes impoverished associated with Nepal at this time located about 200km west of Kathmandu.
