Locals, police cl@sh over LLRC report in Nuwakot, over dozen !njured

Locals protesting the report cooked by Local Level Restructuring Commission have clashed with security personnel at Nuwakot district headquarters Bidur on Sunday. More than one dozens from both sides have been injured in the clash. Locals have took to protest starting today against the Commission’s report. Police fired few bullets in atmosphere and used rubber bullets to contain the agitating crowd.



The LLRC prepared the report in contrary to district technical committee’s recommendation and excluded Likhu village council coming from a local structure. This triggered anger among locals especially out of the district’s eastern negative side. They were protesting versus the provision for slimming six days. The agitated mob vandalised an office of District Development Committee and damaged few vehicles. They set fire on office furnitures.
