Lawmakers’ concern on plethora of issues, including LBRC report

A big part of lawmakers speaking inside ‘special hour’ in the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today slammed the report of the Local Bodies Restructuring Commission (LBRC) saying it was impractical and unscientific. Jagadish Narsingh KC and Rajya Laxmi Shrestha said although the local bodies structure has been decided by the districts on the basis of the standards set by the Commission itself, the commission’s report however came up with different structure than the content agreed by the zones.
